2000 XJ Crank No Start Troubleshooting questions
 

Hi All,

Recently got a jeep that is in pretty nasty shape (it was a farm jeep). I've read probably every forum on here for these issues but feeling in over my head, so was hoping to get some direct advice. I was driving recently and the jeep stalled, its a manual so I was able to restart while driving. It did it again and then died completely. After that it would crank but not spark. I feel like it could be anything and everything...please help!!
- Recently replaced fuel pump, getting fuel
- Tested crankshaft position sensor resistance, seemed ok, should I just replace?
- Have not tested or replace Cam sensor
- Newer spark plugs, tested coil pack for spark and nothing coming through
- An old battery draining quickly, wont hold above 12.6 V staying around 11...replace battery?
- The started is caked in mud and oil, should I replace this no matter what (see pic)?

What's confusing, and an ignorant question on the junction box...(see pic)
- No ASD solenoid? That does not seem ok
- No O2 sensors solenoid
- I found my steering cowl was tampered with, and when I looked under there were two floating wire connectors, any idea what these are for (see pic)?
