2000 rear defrost wiring for lights
I have a chop top 2000 XJ so my rear defroster switch and wiring are useless currently. I was wondering if it would be possible to wire a set of interior lights to it instead. Or even an auxiliary heater since my Jeep gets super cold in winters and I have no way of defrosting my soft top window. Any input on this idea is appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is like a rain-Ex type of application. (both sides. It would really have to get moist out to fog it up)
Or an electric heater like you see at Harbor Freight that plugs into a cig lighter socket.
You could aim it down to the surface to be cleared.
It's just you would have to listen to the blower motor..
Just my .02

Not a bad idea. I thought it would be cool to have the wiring for the destroyer power it because I still have the switch. It's just convenient. The wires in the timer circuit may not be able to handle a heater so I am running a separate fuse box from my old subwoofer wire I have hooked up. 4 gauge wire will be plenty of power.
