Default Axle shaft question..

Ok I have a set of axle shafts from a 91 D30 XJ that had ABS.. So I am wanting to put these shafts into my 91 D30 that doesn't have ABS. My question is will the axle shafts fit without issue? I was looking at the factory parts manual and they list different part numbers for the knuckle with abs and without abs. So I just want to make sure. I want the new axle shafts because the abs ones are the 297 joints.

I think the different part number is cus the abs knuckle has a spot for the abs sensor
there should be no other difference
they should work

The only thing i can think of that would be different-would be the knuckle needs a mounting point for the abs pickup.. I think the tone generator is small enough to fit into knuckle with out interference. I could be wrong and somebody please chime in!

The shaft itself is the same except the tone ring and bigger U-joints. I drill a hole in the tone ring and then use chisel to break them off.

you shouldn't need to break them off but if you don't want them on
go for it

As soon as all this damn rain goes away I can get out and do it. I have new hubs, axle shafts and joints and ball joints to go on the front. Then I will move on to replace all the DS joints.
