2000 OEM Fog Lite Bulb Replacement

What is the easiest way to replace the OEM fog lite bulb? Owners manual does not indicate.

Take screws out of housing, take out bulb, bring bulb to auto parts store, buy new bulb, install new bulb, put housing back together.

Get under the truck and look for access to the back area of the fog light. You might have to pull the plastic wheel well liner back to get to it. You should be able to change the bulb without having to remove this big plastic liner, I usually tuck it above the tire and it stays. When you see the fog light look for a small door on the housing held on by two screws. When you take the door off you will see the bulb, it is an H3 55W bulb which you can get at any auto parts store. The bulb is held in by a little clip and a small screw. Make sure you put the plastic liner back where it belongs when youre done or your tire will shred it.

On mine there is a bottom door/plate thats held in with 2 screws.. The back is not removed, nor should you have to go through the wheel well.. Try just laying down under the fog light and see if there is a 1/2 dollar sized plate with 2 screws.. if so remove that pop the plate of with a putty knife or screw driver, then remove the retaining pin/clip, and unplug the bulb should be the H3's..

Mine is a 2001 so I believe they are the same if not then my apologies for my ignorance..
