Default 2000 Cherokee drive line issue

HI Guys. I have a 2000 RHD Cherokee 4.0 Auto 4x4. 248,000 miles with a re manufacturered engine put in 2 weeks ago with 200 miles.

I noticed a vibration starting around 40mph and crazy bad by 60mph

I pulled the front drive saft down and the vibrArion was gone and I got it up to 85mph.

I replaced all 3 u joints in the front drive saft aND put it on and the vibrations don't start till 60mph now and get bad, not not terrible.

So I've pulled the front drive line off again. Can I drive my 00 Jeep this way for a bit?

should I just order a new drive line? Can I have this one rebalanced? All the weights are on it and it doesn'tlook bent or molested in any way.

Also what fluid do I use in the transfer case?

Thanks a million guys. ARKANSAS Transfer case tag, road salt must of digested the paint off
Fromt drive shaft with the 3 new u joints (honestly only the fromt one was bad)
RHD. 248,000 miles.

Did you replace the little ball bearing in the middle of the h yoke where it has 2 ujoints? Should be fine to run it as is, but I'd try that if you haven't

^ that.

But first try mounting the driveshaft in a vice and while spraying the ball and socket with PB Blaster rotate the joint in all directions until it loosens up. Mine was really tight causing a screeching noise. If yours is bound up enough it might throw it off balance.

Before you broke down the front axle, do you mark it so that when you put it back together it remained in the same orientation? If not, it might be off by 180 degrees causing the vibration.

Hopefully when you replaced the u-joints, you also replaced the centering ball yoke in the CV joint.

Your transfer case takes Dexron 3 Automatic transmission fluid.
Most folks say to use the same fluid you're putting in your (automatic) tranny. I think Valvoline MaxLife is a commonly recommended fluid. The transfer case isn't terribly picky.
Just make sure that you remove the FILL plug before the drain plug just in case your fill plug is troublesome to remove.

Changing the fluid is a good idea and a regular maintenance item, but it almost certainly won't help your vibration issue.
