2000 Cherokee Classic acts funny sometimes...
I just bought my third Cherokee a few months ago. It is a 2000 Cherokee Classic with 106k miles on it. Overall it seems to be in very good condition. I have noticed a few problems however... I drive it all day for work turning it on and off seveal times a day, sometimes after only driving a short distance. I noticed that after the engine is warm it runs very rough when I first start it up. I have to give it some gas for it to run smooth again. When it does this it feels like it is misfiring or starved for fuel. It does not do this everytime I start it either. It never does this when I start it for the first time for the day. This morning I went to leave for work and it wouldnt start, it clicked like it had a dead battery. I tried to jump it off and it finally started, but would only stay running if I gave it gas. I came home tonight after driving my wifes car all day and it started right up and ran fine. It died again after a few minutes. I let it sit for a minute and then it started right back up and ran fine. I drove it around the block and it ran fine the whole time. All the lights worked and electronics worked fine. I brought it home and turned it on and off again several times and it is still running fine right now... what is going on??

Sounds like a heat soak problem with the injectors causing the miss on a hot start, and you could have a failing idle air control motor causing the stall.
