When I open my passenger door, speaker turns off?
Ok, this is weird. When I open my passenger door past a certain point, the speaker on the door shuts off. It is very weird and quite annoying. My door is missing that little pin that prohibits the door from opening too far if that helps.
It is not when I open my door all the way either. It probably happens at 1/2 open.
Anyone know anything about this?
Thanks

I had a 78 Cutlass that the power window on the drivers side would only work with the door open in a certain position. Turns out that the wiring from the body to the door had been damaged and only made connection at that position. I pulled the door panel, found the cut wire and spliced it back together. Never had any trouble with it after that. Could be the same thing with your speaker.

Probably just a phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws for the arm rest/door handle on the interior, other than that it should just be held in with little polyurethane rivets that will pop out. Once you have them all disconnected the whole way around the door, take the interior panel and pull / wiggle it up out of the area by the window.

to remove the door panel on a 97+ all you have to do is undo the screw behind the handle and the three screw on the arm rest then use a panel puller or flathead and CAREFULLY pull on the panel so you don't break the panel clips> then unplug the connectors and door lock and handle rods.

Your trouble will probably be in the area with the accordion boot on it where the wires pass out of the body and into the door.
Whiule you're at it, get a pin for the door check bracket.
