If your going to do it, do it fully man. either way the budget lift kits won't pass Inspection but if your budget is aiming low I would do the Shackle extention.

I went with the RE Full Leaf AAL. I have had mine on my 11 year old XJ for 2 years now and have no sagging or other issues.

So long story short, an add-a-leaf can be easier to install.

I live in chicago. Its gunna be my first install and I don't have very much experiance with cars so I figuerd the rear shackels would be the way to go. Can't I loosen it up with some PB?

You can try. If you have the same problems with corrosion and rust we have here in Michigan then PB might not be enough.

I was going to use shackles to lift my sagging back end (didn't sound right) but after reading about the top bolt issue when installing shackles, I decided to use the Add A Leaf option.
