1985 GM 2.8L V6 someone knows the compression values of this engine ?

but I seem to have read that the compression rate should be 150 , am I wrong ?

I think gas will fire at 15psi anyway. I wouldn't worry about the numbers really. Just make sure that no 2 adjacent cylinders are lower than the rest.

Anything over 120 with that old of an engine would be fine I think. Do a dry test then a wet test. Valves will also play into your compression test.

Why the concern over compression numbers? Bad headgasket you think?

A gas/air mixture will fire at 0 PSI.

It's not about whether or not it will fire. It's about whether or not there is something wrong with the engine.
