2.5L carb idle problem
 

I have insttalled a commercial rebuilt carter fya 1bbl but now I cant' get the engine to idle down below 3k. all the screws are backed off, don't see any obstuctions, is it a bad MCU? or what?

sounds like too much air. can you "choke it down" by that i mean restrict the air going down the throat? this should bring the idle down.
