I just a traded with a friend for a 99 XJ that has ran perfect for years. It was in great need of a cleaning so I decided to pressure wash the engine. Now when I drive it, it sputters bad while going down the road and will sometimes die when I come to a stop. In park it runs and idles fine. I was at first thinking maybe it could be a CPS but considering I just washed it Im thinking it could water in something like the distributor, or some sensor around the engine. I did change the tps and it ran good for a few miles then started acting up again. Any ideas? I know this has been discussed before but I thought it would help to mention my specific symptoms. Any help is appreciated.
