As wondering what yr 4.0 will fit in a 2000 Cherokee? I know it needs to be a distributorless ignition but was wondering if wrangler or grand cherokees in like 02 or 3 have cuz I have a cracked head now and want to get away from that.. Think it tore the bottom end up cuz low oil pressure!

The mounts on any 4.0 are the same from 84 -06 when they stopped making them. I have a 4.0 from a 97 grand Cherokee in my 92 Cherokee and I have only had one problem and that was in 92 and earlier they had a temp sensor in the head that was not in the 97 that was it so i say go for it.

97+ should match up well. I'd shoot for a 99 HO.... Not that I'm partial... :P

He tool one from a ZJ. The motor mount castings on the block are different between XJ and WJ, WJ being the newer grand cherokee.
