Rocker suggestions
I stopped in at the body shop on campus the certified instructor told me he wouldnt do the job. To much work i guess. Would it be easier to do the 2x6 metal the length of each side.and be done.with it?

That's exactly what I intend do do as soon as I make it to the scrap yard. It will end up costing you about the same as new rockers but will obviously be MUCH stronger and look bad ***. Plus if you go with the 2x6 instead of the 2x4 you will have some protection for your doors on the trails.

Go 2x6 .120 or thicker. 2 six foot sections is enough. I paid 75 for 12 feet of 2x6 .120 in WA, so it's a lot cheaper than store bought sliders, however very time consuming.
