Long story short guys I need help. Just bought this XJ. It's a 98 Classic. Originally was all power. Previous owner replaced the driver's side door with a manual window door and just cut all the wires. However when he did this, the passengers side window was down. Now it won't role up. I took the door panel off to try and manually hot wire it or Jerry rig it. But not having any luck. Anyone have a wiring diagram and or ideas on how to get the windows back up operational.

 

Hope these re what you are looking for. They are from a 97 manual, but should be pretty close.

 

Dont you just love people that do that? I dont. Butchered wiring is a PITA.

If the window motor is still there, you can take a cordless drill battery and operate the motor that way. Or even the vehicle battery. I would go thru the rest of the vehicle to be sure they didnt take shortcuts anywhere else. You never know.

 

I tried to hook up the hot wire directly to the battery but it still wouldn't work. I am getting kinda frustrated... I dont know how to get it up....
