1998 cherokee sport idling
hello.i have a 1998 jeep Cherokee sport.6cly inline.4x4.4.0L.it has 300000 miles,been good to me and family.i wish they make it like that now days.
the problem is the after been park overnight ,and in the morning i try to star ,and it will crank and run for couple seconds and then idle down and goes off.for me to keep it running without idling down and off,i have to keep my feet with a soft press to the gas pedal and it will stay running.if i keep my feet in the gas pedal for like 2 minutes then i can take my feet off the gas pedal and it will be ok,wont idle down or go off ,and run without problem.after that i can park my jeep and use it many times without any problem..i may have a and idea but not sure about maybe the EGR or other valve/sensor that has to do with air,not sure...i will appreciated any suggestions.
