1997 ignition switch
Replacing my ignition switch. Got it all the way down to the last screw that holds the switch on an it is a tamper proof torx screw. Any suggestions on how to get this out without the "special" torx bit? The little tit in the center keeps it from sinking for a grip.
BTW: this is not the first time a little tit has had me frustrated!!!

You can get these tips pretty easy... gonna be your best bet... I got a full set of them when i worked at nissan for this same reason... Tool trucks all carry them... Im trying to remember but im thinking they even sell them at like autozones and stuff... but thats really gonna be the easiest way... drive it to a mech and see if one will let you borrow it in the parking lot for a second... but go right to the mechs... not the front desk... lol... most people are too nice to say no

Use huntingmans idea, unless its non-driveable right now. Then try using a dremel with a pointed bit and removing the center obstruction.
