Default 1997 cherokee FLOODED!!!

hey guys took out my 97 cherokee saturday night threw a river crossing i made a few weeks ago, only to find out a truck with 38's had prevuiously went threw it. needless to say my 31's werent cutting it. i was buried in the whole for about 30 minutes took on alot of water came in threw the hatch and ended up half way up my gas peddle so about 6 inches of water in the jeep.. motor was out of the water completley just the back half was in, i kept it running till i got home, she threw a check engine light an airbag light then died, it was turning over but wouldnt fire. so then yesterday i fired it up but i had no guages or lights? no rpm no nothing but she was running at a high idle. today i tried and nothing wouldnt turn over nothing turned on just dead, i have another parts jeep that i can take watever parts i need off. any help would be geartly appreciated thanks guys!!

Your battery is probably dead. Its probably dead from a short. If its got a short its because you got water somewhere it shouldn't be. Start looming at everything that was submerged, go from there.

Check all your fluids, dist cap & rotor for moisture, fuses, check the voltage on your battery your alternator might be shot.

Rip the carpet out and hang it to dry, wipe up any water on your floor boards.
