Hey guys, I am new into the jeep world.

I have been noticing and appreciating the miles these 4.0s can handle

I am looking at a 1997 cherokee with 130k on it. clean as ever.

i am curious to the things i might have to worry about at this mileage

the guy is asking 2750 but i hope to get it for no more than 2300, since its a dealership

if you could help me out i would appreciate it!

Before I buy any car I do a compression check to make sure the engine is good mechanicaly,I also look at the jeep and how well it has been taken care of. No matter how much you look though something can always go wrong. it does not sound like you want a mechanic to go over it.

Go over all the fluids, check for leaks under neath! Also look at both the front & rear bumper mountin brackets. My xj had front & rear end damage! As for the motor it pritty well bullet proof & is just getting broke in at 140k!
