Default 1996 and older heater core replacement

http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=931690

I've been digging on here for a while trying to avoid posting something that has been asked a million times. Still the best guide I found doesn't mention how to get the washer fluid container removed. I only see to bolts but it's still being held down blocking me from getting to the blower motor.

Can someone confirm if there is an easier way and if I really have to remove the blower motor?

The link at the top is the guide I'm using. Thanks

I've never had mine out, but there probably is a third bolt underneath still holding it.

Well I got the washer fluid tank out of the way it was a third bolt shared with the fuse box. Now everything is removed and I'm just waiting to have the ac discharged so I can remove the ac lines and finish pulling the box out to replace the heater core.

Heater core is done. I don't ever want to do that again.

Hi Toaster, I have 96 and before doing it want to know where the core is. Is in in that black box with yellow tag?

I have used your pic in new post https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/mys...1996-a-214995/

Some info indicates its parallel to firewall over trans hump.

Thanks

Do you or anyone else by chance know if 1996 is the same as that, that is a 1989.

Thanks!
