Question 1996 Jeep Cherokee Project, Any help is appriciated.

I have a '96 Jeep Cherokee, this coming Winter I would like to make a few additions, performance wise as well as visual changes. My first question for all of you out there in Jeep World is, what tire width is safe to go with on a stock suspension? (I am looking to go as wide as possible w/o changing my suspension. I'd like the tires to extend farther then the body.) Also, I have been wondering if it would be possible to modify my dash to hold a two-stepped radio monitor? Hey I appreciate all help thanks for reading. Be in touch..

If you want your tires to stick out then you want new wheels with less back spacing. Wider tires will only stick out as far as the rims

Stock back spacing is 5.25" so your going to want wheels with 4.5" back spacing or less.

Thats not true... Wider are just that... Wider... All tires are wider then the wheels from the factory... If u buy 9.50 wide tires and 12.50 in tires then guess what... They are 3in wider... 1.5in on each side...

Ok yea they will stick out more but for no lift I'm not gonna get 30x12.50 tires (if they even make them)... I go get 30x9.5 and rims with 4.5" bs.

To get wider yes... But gotta watch the front when turning... The more they stick out the more itll catch the fender...
