1996 jeep cherokee

Where and how does the fuel return line run to on the engine. I have a 1996 that I am building and it originally had a 4cyl and I put in a 4.0l. Any help please.

I will have a look under my RHD '96 later, but the most sensible advice I can offer is free download the PARTS MANUAL 94-96, also the FSM, both 95 and 97

pretty sure forum member Cruiser54 has them on his website

the 4.0 '96 also have a "that year only" fuel pump arrangement that incorporates the pump, regulator, and sender all together, their is a thread on NAXJA about dealing with them

Thank you. I am finding out that the "1996 XJ" is a bastard year vehicle but , I still love it.lol

96 does not have a fuel return line. Just the main fuel line from the pump that runs to the front of the fuel rail.
