ok, used truck had it for three weeks and yesterday i turned the key and the lights came on but no starter engage. I tried putting it in neutral and holding the gear shifter (PRNDL) but nothing, before i start taking the console out to check the neutral safety switch does any one else have suggestions?

my 96 naver had a problem but my 2000 jeep xj had the same thing

i had to replace the starter.

hey man.... ditto Spoonman .... always check battery and make sure it is good to go before black boxing it .... just cause lights come on doesn't mean battery is strong enough to deliver the necessary voltage to all elements .... good luck!

I can bypass it and start it by going to the relay so it seems it may be the nss will work on it this weekend
