Default 1996 cherokee sport

my son just put 30x9.50's on his cherokee and now needs to raise it about 2inches. whats his best options for a small price. i understand that some chevy s 10 leafs will work on the back but not sure what years. some places say to not raise it using longer shackles. just looking for some good advice.
thanks

Here's a good article if you have fabrication skills http://www.rocklizardfabrications.co...dget_boost.htm . If not, you can get a 2" lift kit including coil spacers for the front, extended leaf spring shackles for the rear, and shocks for $250 from Rough Country http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xj_1.html . There are definitely cheaper lift kits, though, just maybe not a name brand. Here's a whole bunch I found in under a minute using Google http://store.fatbobsgarage.com/share...t=products.asp .

some 2 inch shackles and 2 inch spacers should do you just fine.

in the front they would. but in the rear he would still sag after his leaf springs drop then it looks like he's running around with a dead body in the back....

the link that 96cherokee113 is a very good step by step intruction format for a "bastard pack" leaf spring setup or aal setup.. and yes many s10 leaf springs will lift... i have a set of dodge dakota srings i'm gonna use for my stocker.. just i can fit my 30" tires a little better
