Default 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Crank no start

I have put a remanufactured 5.2 Liter engine in my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4WD and cannot get it to start. I has the correct fuel pressure, is getting spark at the plugs, and the fuel injectors are working properly. I has a new battery, distributor, plugs, plug wires, coil and ECM. Even when spraying starter fluid into the carb, it will not run. I am wondering if there are non-engine sensors or parts that might keep it from starting. I having been working on it for weeks and really could use some ideas. For example, could the EGR valve cause it not to start if it was defective or would it just run rough. Could the crankshaft position sensor be bad even though it is getting spark at the plugs?

Getting spark at the plugs you say.. at the right time? Have you tried the old ECM and coil? Check that the distributor isn't 180 out, or a tooth off. Sorry, i'm not familiar with the 5.2. It sounds like you have spark, fuel and i'd assume compression in a reman.. I'd guess it's not firing at the right time.. got a timing light?

Supposedly, you don't use a timing light on this year model. You just set the engine at top dead center, install the distributor, and then the ECM adjusts the timing.
Is there some way to test if the timing is 180 degrees off?
