1995 Jeep Cherokee AC blowing out of defrost. Don't think it's a vacuum problem.
ac was working fine. needed to route some radio
wire so i unscrewed the ac controller in the dash. there wasn't enough slack in the wires so i disconnected 4 wires behind the fan speed control and a big black connector from the top right of the controller. after reconnecting everything the ac only blows out the defrost vent. i know this is symptomatic of a vacuum problem but i don't see how what i did could cause a vacuum problem when everything was working before. thanks for any help. this is the part i'm talking about. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...000ba00594.jpg |
got it. for some reason the direction changed to the defrost vent when i unhooked it. when it gor reconnected i never turned the engine on while checking it. no engine, no vacuum. started working as soon as the started the engine.

Bill Cox: [lawnmower won't start] Karl, see if you can figure out what's wrong with this. It won't crank up and everything seems to be put together right.
Karl: It ain't got no gas in it. |
