1994 Cherokee Sport, Auto Trans slips in Drive, then lower gears
Started slipping. I'm going to try that post about draining the trans and refilling.
If that doesn't work, what should I look for
What happens, is that at a stop, can hear and feel the motor revving then the trans engages with an abrupt lurch forward. To minimize it, I put into 3rd and slow throttle. It moves out. Still some slipping.
I do need to change motor and trans mounts but need to address this too. Its the AW trans
And advice?

on my 94 grand cherokee I had to change the solenoids in the transmission. It was not shifting down in to lower gears so when it would take off from a stop it would start in 3rd which had to slip until it got to speed. Changed out the solenoids with a kit from ebay and no more issues to this day (3 years later).

I've added oil before. And new oil looks pinkish, clear. Thought I was seeing that. NOPE!
Shifts fine now.
I'll do that change oil this weekend. Thankfully these trans are really hardcore durable
