Default 1994 Cherokee, New Radiator, Leak Two Inches Below Rad Cap

Hi there. Hope all is well.

I just got a 1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport that was apparently given a new radiator due to overheating issues. It looks like that about two inches beyond the radiator cap there is an octagonal opening that juts out. That is where it's leaking coolant.

Is there a part that I'm missing by chance for that hole? Or is this some type of unique overflow that I have just never seen before? I think I'm missing a part, but just wanted to get an opinion from those who have more experience than me.

Thanks in advance, and all the best!

what ever came of this?? I replaced my radiator on my 1995 xj with one from advance auto and it leaked in the same area. so I replaced that with a factory mopar radiator just yesterday and it leaks in the exact same area!! right under the radiator cap, in the neck of the radiator there is a circular plug that seems like its just glued in place on both the aftermarket I had and the factory mopar radiator. what a s**t design

Still have your receipts for warranty? Take 'em back for replacement/refund.
