1993 Cherokee Project

Just bought a 93 XJ 2 door
4.0 5 Spd for a good price.

Transfer case is stuck in 4Low, linkage moves to other ranges and "detents" in to them, but when you let out the clutch nothing at all will happen.
Anyone run into a problem with the detent ball system being worn out? Or is it possibly a busted/bent shift fork?

It's rusted out pretty good, idles a little rough. But I think that's due to the plugs/cap/rotor likely being stock. The rear drive shaft is too short as well, slip yoke is out a good 3", never ran into a sight like that before either.:dunno:

Anyone know a good outlet for new floorpans and rocker panels? I can't seem to find the website I saved that had these parts.

I initially bought it to swap the transmission into my 98, but I think I'd like to resurrect and rebuild this one, and also use it as my guinea pig for doing a turbo. Has anyone done this to theirs? I'd like pics of your setups if you have.

I did find that crown automotive sells a driveshaft that supposedly fits the D35 with manual transmission and 1991-1992 XJ Chrysler 8.25 with Auto

Part #:
CRO53003242

If I understand this correctly, I could just get a stock drive shaft from a 91 or 92 XJ with the 8.25 and stuff it in with out ill effect, could I not?
