Hey guys,
Im a noob here and just joined, But I was wondering this. I have a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, (not even 4 wheel drive, sucks I know lol) and I want to put some big tires on them to make the look of the car more cool I guess you can say.What is the biggest tire I can put on my car without having to rub? I am also running on stock rims.Here is a picture of it:

Btw, This forum is pretty cool. Alot of you guys have really sick jeeps. I never realized how much of a beast this car can be lol

You want bigger tires... you gonna keep your flares with/without fender trimming?
If you keep it stock without any rubbing I wouldn't go much bigger then 28" or 29".... 30" you would prolly rub when you turn sharp or hit bumps while turning.
I would lift it like 2" and go 30". That's pretty minimal. You wouldn't need all the major upgrades either like you do with 3" or more of a lift

Yeah im going to be keeping my fenders. I was thinking about getting 30' but that would probably be to much. Ill look around for 28'. And I want to get a a lift but no money

I would go all terrain 28". Even with 28" if you get a really aggresive tire it will be slightly bigger then 28" and with big lugs on the side of tires you can catch your fenders/flares and damage the tires and flares. If you want something that will handle all seasons and all terrains I would get BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A's I had then before and the tread seems to never wear down and they are really good in all mild terrains. I would try to go through 3' mud holes with them but I never thought twice about mud half way up my rims or so they kept going. Sears has them for really good prices. Very good all terrains will last you a really long time. Even for big offroad tires I have BFGoodrich Mud terrains and they go through everything and last me a long time

1992laredo4x4

I put 31's on my 92 laredo and ran them for about a year with problems. they never 1 time rubbed the fender. they would rub the sway bar or something if you turned the wheel all of they way 1 direction, but turn it back just a little and it would quit. I dont know if the 4x4 suspension is any higher than a 2x4.

Yeah I took some measurements today, Im pretty sure 31's would rub on my stock suspension now. 28's look like a good deal. Anybody know any good places to get cheap tires? Ill even look for used tires.
