94 cherokee sport issues
My cherokee just started having electrical issues. For the last week, the #6 fuse (power windows) fuse kept blowing. Just this evening the #9 fuse blew. Radio and interior lights stopped working. I put a new fuse in for the windows to roll them up but they didn't work. So then I took a 15 amp fuse to replace #9 which is also a 15 and put a 40 amp in #6 and the window didn't work. What would be going on?
Another thing going on with my jeep is while I'm driving, the check engine light comes on and it starts misfiring, backfiring, loss of power etc. Replaced the plugs and wires before this started. When it first started I replaced the tps, but didn't work. A vacuum line was falling apart so I replaced that and also replaced fuel filter which helped for a week or two and now it seems to slowly get worse.

But since the OPer didn't either....
Don't know if this is your problem but as a last resort check this out.
If this is semi-intermittent at hi way speeds, i had similar happen with my old 4.0 '94.
Took it to the Jeep dealer as it was still under the power train warranty and after a couple visits, no solution. They did change the CPS the last visit but still same BS.
The 3rd time i took it back for same the problem, an 'older' tech happened to overhear the heated conversation the Service Mngr. and me were having.
He budded in and told the Service Mngr. 'let me take a look at it'.
The two previous techs. that worked on it were snot nosed kids. lol
Long story short that older tech fixed the problem. Turned out to be the insulation on the fuel injector wires melted only with a hot engine and were shorting to each other in their wire channel.
IMO, there's no substitute for experience..that especially goes for service technicians.
Far as the fuses blowing, obviously a short circuit in either the wiring or one of the window motors.
First place i'd look is the harness at the door jams. Then disconnect each motor to isolate if its a shorted motor.
Just gonna have to roll up your sleeves and find the short circuit.
By the way replacing a 15 amp fuse with a 40 amp fuse is not a good idea.
