I have a 1991 Jeep Cherokee w/ 4.0 ltr. High Output in line 6 cyl. It only has 120,000 miles on it. The Engine Maintenance Light came on (Not the Check Engine Light) The car runs completely normal and no codes are coming up on it. How do you reset the light. I even went as far as to disconnect and reconnect the battery. Light is still on.

I am not sure if this will answer your question.
But i have a renix era jeep and we have the same thing, it basically has a mileage timer to replace your O2 sensors (if i understood correctly). I ended up just removing the connection and the light goes away, or you can remove the bulb behind the dash. I think the only way to reset it is buying a new box through the dealer, not worth it.
Cruiser54 probably knows more on it and can explain better.
