1991 cherokee 4x4 4.0 liter 6 cylinder oil leaking!

1991 cherokee 4x4 4.0 liter 6 cylinder oil leaking!
I bought this cherokee second hand and I have been fighting oil leaks.
right now I found I have a line comming up from the transmission it is semi rigid and it is not connected anywhere on top and the oil is leaking when I'm on the highway. I am thinking it is suppose to be hooked up to the vaccum line but it seem I'm leaking alot of 70 w 90 oil any input would be a great big help I find no evidence of where to hook this line up to.
I forgot to tell everyone this is the manual stick shift 5 speed
