Default Starter hum

So i went to start my ol jeep this morning and i turn the key and it just hums, sounds like underneath the jeep but i don't know what to do it is below freezing its very cold but i need help cuz i am stuck

try tapping your starter with a hammer or something. Don't hit it to hard though. That may start it, but not a fix, just a temporary solution.

were is it located i cannot fiqure that out, what other part is it located near

it is a little bit lower than your oil filter, and behind it towards the back of your cherokee. To the right of your oil pan drain. It is a cylinder a little smaller than a 1 liter bottle. Make sure not to connect the two prongs on it with whatever metal object you are hitting it with, you will weld it on and get a friendly jolt in the process.

Try giving it just a few taps, I think you may have to have someone hit it while you turn it over.
