1989 valve cover elbow
1989 XJ 4.0 stock engine.
I need to replace just the elbow on the valve cover that attaches to a hose going to the air box. The one closest to the front of the XJ.
Similar to this but this appears to be for 96 and up.
Dorman 47079 HELP! PCV Elbow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JZIXIW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_t68NCb7DKG5S9
Any one know if this will work or the right part. Have checked all over including rockauto and can't find anything seems to specify my year.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!

That elbow is the one with the larger orifice. It is a ccv (crankcase valve) because it is just open orifices in the elbows. Sometimes the parts stores still refer to them as pcv (positive cranckase valve) valves because that is much more common. Those have valves that open and close.
If you can still fit an hose over it, then that will work. It isn't an emergency because it will just vent the oily air into the atmosphere - although this could be worse than or as illegal as owning a firearm if in California.
Dorman makes them for O'Rielly's. You can buy them from any parts store and the dealerships.

CRUISER'S MOSTLY RENIX TIPS
The vacuum harness that attaches to the front of the valve cover and includes the grommet/fitting, and is called the front harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1367 or is a Dorman 46003.
The vacuum harness that is closest to the air cleaner, EGR etc, and is called the rear harness, is Napa part number BK 715-1366 or is a Dorman 46004.
The tube from the rear of the valve cover to the intake manifold is part number BK 715-1365 or Dorman 46005 and comes with the valve cover grommet.
The Throttle Body to MAP hose is no longer available. Click HERE to access a fix for that.

Rest of my harness is good, wish I could get just the grommet. Oh well.
As a side note, you're website has been invaluable as my soon to be 16 year old and I bring this Renix XJ back to daily driver life for him. Thanks for the time and effort. Has been a great project to do with him for me and many great memories and lessons for him. Your hard work has helped make that possible. Much gratitude.

Thanks @cruiser54 ! Thanks for the comment about those harnesses including a new grommet, not obvious in the pictures.
