1987 Cherokee

I'm trying to remove the front left shock. On an 87 the top bolt is under the master brake cylinder. What's the easiest way to get to the bolt?

Assuming it is the same as my 96, a 14 mm ratching wrench will work. You'll also have to grip the shock to keep it from moving while you undo the nut.

Thanks but...

The problem is getting to the bolt. In an 87 it's under the master cylinder. It looks like I'll have remove the air filter assembly.

Can you grab a picture of it?
I'll get one of mine

These pics were taken after I removed the air filter assembly. Otherwise it would have been next to impossible. Installing the new one was still pretty awkward.

hmm, maybe a crowfoot wrench or a little stubby wrench would work.
