16 inch 33's
 

I've got a set of beautiful 16 inch wheels for my jeep and want to get some nice tires for it. Of course the issue with having 16s is that you have to use metric tires. I originally wanted hankook rt03 mts, great ratings, reviews, ect. but I believe they dont offer load range C tires for 16s. Which brings me to my question, whats my options for tires with 285/75r16 (or whichever size the metric equivalent is to 33s).

My jeep has a 4.5 RC lift and will be trimmed up soon for my 33s. I'm strongly leaning toward duratracs because I know i can get those for it, but whats my other options??? Really bummed about the hankooks and I just want to know whats out there before I settle for the duratracs.

Pictures or suggestions greatly appreciated. What do you run on your 16's? Will I regret it if I buy load range E?

Side note: BFG KO2, sick brand new tire model, sadly only load e rating, BFGoodrich rep said they'd ride fine on my xj. Any truth to that or is it just another sales pitch?

Most of the 16" metric tires are gonna be load range E. Some sizes are found in load range D though. I think a 255/85/16(33.5x10.5) or the 285/75/16s is perfect in 4.5"s of lift.

I ran a 285/75/16 at 4"s of lift on my jeep in the km2s and I liked them. I'm a goodyear mt/r fan though. I really like the hankook dynapro mts. Never ran those though

All my tires I've ran had been Load range e and they do well. I aired down to 12lbs and they don't buldge a whole lot but still conform well over terrain.

I'm running a load range D km2s in a 315/75/16 now but I haven't wheeled with them yet. I probably wouldn't run as low of air pressure with the load range D' s

I cut a valve stem on my old mtrs and tire had no air. I kept wheeling and drove home on it because the load range E' s are such stiff sidewall. So that is a small added benefit. I don't think ride is much different between the D and E range

High load ranges are fine, my buddies pbrs are d range and conformed well even at a high 8psi.

Can't wait to see how my range c's do at 4-5 :)
