05 Jeep Grand Cherokee won't shift at all
My Fiances' Jeep seem to have a slight problem this morning.
She went outside this morning started it up and let it warm up a bit while she was scrapping the windows. (25 degrees here in Charlotte this AM) Well when she got in the car, and put it in drive, it just rolled back wards. She put the car in park and tried again and nothing.
I went out and shut the car off, let it sit for a minute and tried and got the same thing. I even tried putting it in to first gear and got nothing.
The car has been acting fine, we actually were out in it last night with no problems or signs of problems. There is no smell, or smoke, no check engine light nothing.
Any ideas what this could be or what I should be looking for?
I don't know jack about Chryslers, so any help would be great.
** Also it's 2WD, with 75,000 on the clock**

ok possibly try this, sometimes it works. have your wife in the car and have her shift the car into drive when it is running. you can either go to the front or the back of the vehicle and give it a shove while she is shifting. Sometimes cars are just goofy and don't realize that they need to go into gear. sometimes the shove will help the transmission engage. if it isn't that and you feel like tearing some stuff apart, check the shift sensors.
