Hey all, I could not find a good shot of the cracked 0331 head syndrome on here so I took one of my own. Funny thing is I own 2 x 2001 XJ's and they both have cracked heads. One is really bad and is inop (bought for cheap), the other is my DD and I noticed it started using coolant and other funny things recently. Guess I'll be off to the JY to get a TUPY head (or two!).

 

I got a tupy head from a pick & pull For about $65.00 and just cleaned it up reseat the valves and put new seals in . running the head now for over a year with no problems and not burning oil .

 

min hoping my local pick and pull is that cheap, I got a overhead console with wiring harness and bracket for $30, funny thing is it also came with a fist size bag of crack cocain tied to the back of the console! It fell off when I set the parts up on the counter to check out. The police came and tested it with some liquid that turns purple if positive. Gotta watch out in those junkyards! The same xj looked like someone had been living in it.m, there was even a toaster in the back seat!
