Finally got around to the next phase of updates to the beast. Did some monstaliner on the hood, lower body, front/rear bumpers and header panel. Didn't get the chilipepper red matched too well on the hood. I found a better paint place that will do color variants in lesser volumes. The place I got this paint would not do any variants unless I went with the $150/pint paint. Bastards.

Was looking through my old posts looking for something and came across this thread so figured I'd give an update. This XJ has been a great project. I put a 2.5" DPG offroad OME hybrid lift on it, went to 30" tires and did the front fenders with Bushwacker flares. I'm not a huge fan of these bushwackers, but my wife liked them so went with it. I still need to do the rears. The Jeep just turned over 200k miles too. I also redid the headliner. Drives so nice now. Can't wait for these tires to wear out so I can put some ATs on there. These tires came with the wheels and had a lot of tread left. Since my high school student son is driving it, figured I'd use them until they need replaced.

Was looking for one of my old threads and came across this one. Can't believe it's been 3 years since I dropped the used motor in. This XJ is now on it's 3rd driver with my youngest son learning to drive this. And this reminds me I still need to put the rear bushwhacker flares on. I finished the engine rebuild on my MG so maybe that' the next project during the "corn tine". This si the final state with the lift, wheels and tires. Drives great and having a lot of fun with it.
