Tire Rack
I see a Tire Rack: Upgrade Garage link and picture at the top of every page. When I hover, the tooltip looks like it's in an "Affiliates" directory on their site. I never noticed it until I got home from work tonight, and I'm wondering if it's there to stay, or if, in the future, it can be opted out of in Profile settings. Personally, I consider it an ad, and removing them was a big part of my decision to be a supporting member.

Yep, we all have it.
IB switched the servers today, the staff is still waiting for an official explanation from IB, and if the Premium Members will have to incur this.

They appear to be going nowhere. Get used to them. I guess they gotta pay for all those non-paying members like me. Lol.

I would understand if there was a string of affiliated websites, such as ads for external sites from our own vendors instead of just one. Even then, I would expect it to be less intrusive, and optional for registered members. I also understand that it's out of your hands right now, so I'll wait patiently to see the result.

Under subscriptions, No banner ads is still listed as one of the perks of being a paying member. I wonder what gives, I sure hope this is'nt a sign of things to come.

They've said that isn't changing. I read their updates in the Announcements section, and that's why I was asking about this specifically. They're working the issue, though, so let's try to be patient.

Checking on it now. However there will be ads. It's the nature of how these sites make money. It is what it is. The amount should not change from what it was.
