just curious why we cant post in threads in the tech section, i know if we have any questions we could pm the person who wrote it but i was just wondering why not have it open to discussion

If you mean the tech writeup sections it's simple those threads are meant to show you how to do something they are not meant as a Q&A. If you have a question that is tech related to a howto post it in the proper tech area and link to that post and ask the question. If we allowed folks to post in the tech writeup threads then having it would become pointless since it would become nothing more then discussions and another area to try and keep clean and useful.
