Me and several other members have noticed that the forum has been getting increasingly slow. This usually happens for me around 8-11pm EST. It takes up to 30 seconds after clicking "post" for your post to show up and sometimes up to 30 seconds for a page to refresh.
Its not only me, some other members have mentioned it. If I go to another forum or another webpage they are just as fast as usual.
Any Insight on this? Maybe its just time for another server upgrade?

 

I'm with you on that seeing the same slows and sometimes it won't even load for me..

 

I am not one for complaints but I must admit, cf is pretty slow.

 

Well, this is a good/bad situation. My laptop is NOT a pos. but my favorite site IS getting slow.

Haha....glad to know its not just happening to me anyways.

 

My computer isnt a POS either, and neither is Shelleys. So its definately not that, I use a level 3 DNS server (fastest civilians can get IIRC). So its not that either... lol

Ok gang sorry for the delay..I have made Nathan and Jon aware of the issue. We'll keep and eye on things and try to pin point the issue.

 

Thanks. Its still happening, but not as bad and at random times of the day.
Since then I have switched to a personal DNS server also, I pinged the one I was using and it was close to 100ms

 

Being slow again, 10:17 PM EST 2/16/09
Has timed out Twice so far, Very slow to refresh pages.
No problems with GL4x4, Naxja, or any other webpage.

Seems to be getting worse than before....

 

Yeah cf is being really slow this evening, even timed out a couple of times

 

Yeah it was so bad last night I gave up and logged off. Disappointing.

It's okay now though. Is this because there's not many people on? What happens in the evening when we need good service and it's not there? Was it a random thing or is it becoming a standard occurrence? Is it because the number of new members are overloading the current set-up? Will/can this be fixed?
