Default Question for moderators

Im having a real problem getting guys to send me their cores after I sell them a modified TB. Would I be able to start a contest in my for sale ad, or in my wanted ad.....?

I was thinking about saying that anyone that sends me a core, or a TB to modify for them, within a stated time period, say 4 wks, would be eligible for a free bored throttle body...If they already bought a TB, and they won, I would refund their purchase price. A name would be pulled from a hat.

TIA

Default core charge

I am currently not charging a core charge, because I didnt want the price to be prohibitive.... I charge $60, and if they send me a core, I then send them $18.

Add a core charge or require a core prior to shipping the modified TB.

Concur. It's a standard practise - and a fully-refundable core deposit is typically expected when dealing with a remanned part anyhow.

OP - PM to follow.

Yep I would definitely be charging a core charge or requiring them to send their TB.

Also if you are performing this service we need to set you up as a vendor so you can move this stuff to the vendor area. PM coming.

I would consider a core charge to be acceptable...

You buy a rebuilt starter from a parts store they charge you the core on the spot till they get the core back.
Sounds easy enough to me.
