Petition to Re-Open the Lift Setup Thread
So after recently finishing the install of my lift I went to post my setup in the lift setup thread, only to find it had been closed I assume for off-topic bickering.
This was the best thread on this forum for determining the setup I wanted. I literally looked at every single setup on that thread before deciding how to plan my build. Not only did it help me decide how much lift and what size/style of tire I wanted, it also helped me learn how different companies product looked. With lift/wheel/tire combos virtually endless, I say we open this back up for the future good of all jeepers. For all I care the mods can sweep the thread and delete all posts without build setups. Do you agree? Yes or no. |
If it can be moderated well enough, I say yes.
|
Yes I agree!
|
I agree completely
|
I agree

At least a stickey but opening it would be much better.

Awesome...now no one will see it...
It belongs here. And, by the way, a poll doesn't decide what happens to these threads, no offense. Its up to the Staff, who see the new threads in CF suggestions and questions, so more of the people who can make a difference will actually see this. Unless you want me to ignore this and not say anything to anyone else...? Just trying to help. If you don't want it...thats fine... |

I will bring it up to the other guys.

It was a nice thread until people started arguing about stuff in it. I just enjoyed looking at the pics so I agree.

Just make it so you can't post without attaching a pic! |
there's no way to impose that sort of a requirement via the forum settings.
We have to rely on people to actually read the first post of the thread, but the majority of people do not, so...conundrum. We (the staff) are all volunteers and none of us have the time to go through a thread every day and clean out the posts that don't include pictures. We shall discuss reopening it, but for the meantime the thread is still there and viewable - I'm fairly confident that in the 578 posts already in that thread almost every lift/tire combination has been posted already, so more posts would only really be duplicates... |

If it isn't could it be cleared of most of the BS and be made a sticky so all can see. I agree 578 posts contains a fair amount of info. Jeepforum and other sites have similar threads that can fill in. I don't think it should be re-opened, someone would most likely start talking about why it got closed and re-open the argument (or whatever). |
