I don't have a problem, but I suspect there is a decent forum for those already, and frankly prefer to see the site stay with the model it has. I know the owners are probably worried about dropping traffic and such here as the model/name gets more and more scarce. But that is just normal and they need to deal with it. Involving new models this late in the game is gonna muddle the field and bring in a ton of new folks that will overwhelm. XJs and the like are fairly dedicated and 90% of the folks here GET how forums work. Not always the case with more "pedestrian" Jeeps. Frankly, the fact that the forum hasn't attracted newer Grand owners should answer the question as to if it would even be viable.

The do have a spot on the Jeep Forum. As far as capability goes, I've seen some modified versions of each do a pretty good job of keeping up with XJs and TJs. Don't forget, most of the Wrongler crowd doesn't consider the XJ a real Jeep.

I liked Chrysler over AMC personally, and like the Grand equally as much as the XJ.

The Wrangler is AMC and existed several years prior to the Chrysler buy out, but ok. Chrysler didn't buy them out til late 87, didn't make any changes til 89 and even then it was just badging and didn't change the AMC design of the Wrangler til 96/97.

As for the ZJ, it's AMC as well. Development started in 83 as a successor to the XJ. There was a concept for it by 89 and Chrysler merely continued it's development.

Also they're, not their.

One thing we need to keep in mind the primary focus of this site is it is a Cherokee forum. So we have an other vehicles section to accomodate the few who wish to discuss other platforms sich as Wranglers, Liberty's and so on. So please keep that in mind. We will not be adding any specific areas dedicated to any other model of jeep outside of the Cherokee platform. We will limit anything outside that platform to the Other Vehicles section. Enjoy.
