Hey, I'd like to put something up in the buy/sell section of this webpage. (Specifically under tires/rims) It says that I don't have enough permissions.

How can I go about doing this?

Just lost my jeep but I've got some bits that I'd like to see get out to the community. Thanks.

You need 25 posts before you can sell something. You have 1. Go ask some questions in the tech section.

Seriously? That's crazy.

I'm not going to spam a tech forum and waste everyone's time.

I can find somewhere else to sell this stuff, I just figured a parts community based around the vehicles would be really interested. I do a lot on the Buick forum and I know these communities tend to be good places for parts and older vehicles to find homes. (I know that I was often digging around for obscure stuff when my poor jeep was on the road.)

Anyway. So it goes I suppose. Seems like an odd decision.

You don't have to spam anything. Just reply to some posts until your post count is up. Off topic doesn't count. Just go into the fab section or whatever and comment how you like this bumper or that mod.
Then go to classifieds and buy my XJ.

It's actually a good rule that protects buyers and sellers both.

You may not be a spammer, but the next guy could be.

Several forums I've used in the past have similar requirements.

Same here.. There's a lot of forums I lurk on and still do not have selling rights because of post count.

It's a good rule. Makes it so people can't just take two minutes to create a new username, post in the classifieds, con someone out of a few hundred dollars, and then run away.
