Can we start a feedback system. Where if you buy something from a member you can give them a +1 or -1? I recently was scamed of out $200 for a overhead console with the key fob from a member and don't want it to happen again to anybody else on our great forum.

Did you tell anyone that you were scammed? Who'd you buy it from? What happened?

I filed a claim thur paypal and that's it. I didn't see anywhere on the forum to report anything that's why I was asking about a feedback system. I seen a guy on here by the name of UMBAXJ and he was selling a overhead console with a key fob that was already programmed so i buy it and send money via paypal on the 10th of may and he said it shipped on the 13th so i asked for a tracking number 3 times and never heard back so on the 18th I ask again and get a reply saying he can't find the receipt with the tracking number but said he shipped it and should get it anytime now and here we are on the 29th and nothing.

Unfortunately he is a known bad seller. He needs to be banned....

I'll pass on the word that he's still active.

See there we need some type of list where here are the guys that are good to go and here are the scamers. Can't believe his known to do this and It's no big deal to anybody. Nice

How about doing a search on CF of the username before buying?

People do care. It's rather difficult to keep up with all these folks since they can make a new user account in less than 2 minutes...

Tho, that user account needs to be banned asap.

His excuse for the last time was that he was in jail...

I did look up his user name and found nothing weird. Maybe you can block his ip address or do like gunbroker does if you have a free email address they charge $1 just to confirm you are who you say and its refund after.

IP Block maybe. Verification... it'll never happen.

CF can't be held responsible for inter-party purchases. Thank goodness you used PayPal. Keep up the good work.

I understand CF is not responsible but at the sametime it can't just not do anything at all.

So your original idea is like how you rate transactions on eBay? If so, that would be interesting. Assuming that people that don't sell stuff stay neutral. Did you look on eBay for that console? I know that doesn't fix your current issue but at least they have systems in place already.

PayPal only .

The most that can be done here is to get rid of the seller. Paypal will handle the monies end of the deal. An investigation of the seller is underway on the CF side of things.

Follow thru with the Paypal dispute.

Okay. Paypal is still waiting the other partys response so will see what they say.
