why no gun sales?
So not that i'm really looking to unload any of my firearms or such, but I was just wondering why we had this rule on the forum?
10.Gun & Weapon Sales: No gun or weapon sales of any kind allowed.
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f11/an...le-area-rules/
I was looking at another link, and followed that link to the one above and while reading through the for sale rules for the first time I just felt I should ask as to why no gun sales. Its not like cherokeeforum can be held liable for running a background check or anything. Its always up to the individuals conducting the sale. Anyways love the site, and was just wondering
cheers

Each and every state has it's own rules on Fire arms.
And being that we don't know them all it's easier for us to just not let Fire Arms be sold here.

yes, but the forum doesn't have to know the rules state to state or even regulate it. Its up to the two individuals involved in the sale.
anyways, I was just wondering. And I can understand that to an extent. thanks for the quick reply

I'll give you a very good reason. We don't want to allow it. There are sites for selling guns and a forum is not the proper place. It's a Jeep site not a gun site.

The second two sentences would have been more than sufficient, as well as polite.
This may be your online home, but where I live and post, we treat our guests with the amount of respect we expect to be given.
For the record, I found this thread while looking for examples of ammo can mounts, since I'm trying to get ideas for projects in the coming months.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to sitting in the corner and waiting for Summer time, when I'll have something to contribute.

This may not be a good way for me to break the ice, but you don't have to take such a tone in response to a simple question.

i thought the same thing but have already been in trouble for voicing my opinion on here so i didn't say anything as i have already been warned. here, you are easily deleted.
try to stay in step and swing your arms properly or you'll get noticed easily.
heil cherokee!!
and just so people don't get all pissed off, i edited what i really typed out so you don't have to give me another warning or delete me

Y'all don't have to get an attitude. This is a great site for Jeep people and I think the vast majority of members enjoy the site, as I do. There are sites for gun owners, and I'm sure most CF members own firearms, but you've read the the rules and you shouldn't try to make an issue. We've grown used to accepting the rules, you should too.
Now go stand in the corner for an hour. Both of you.
