I read that thread, and for a rook, thats a very high road to take, and I respect you for that.
However, my gripes have nothing to do with members, nor any of the drama threads I don't even open, heck most of the oldies that I knew are gone. My issues lay with the upper management, not the members.

I met many of my closest friends on NAXJA, I regularly hang out with them every week. It is a great community and they actually do good for the sport by putting the membership dues back into the community and towards land use issues (unlike this place which is more geared towards profits and padding pockets). If you become a paying member the perks are great, If you arent active, its just different colored name, but if you show up to events you will soon realize it is worth the 30 bucks (or whatever) a year.
Yea I'm a moderator here, and I've been here since this place was a few days old, but i prefer NAXJA and would recommend anyone to check it out.

Spam purge from years ago, you must have rarely/never posted. Lots of lurkers got caught up in that.. all it takes is a PM to a MOD asking for your account to be reactivated. If you'd like PM me your screenname and password..it'll be activated and you then reset your new password.

Not for profit incorporated out of IL, owned and governed by it's membership.

NAXJA is not just a Forum, and my membership dollars go to a cause..

Look in the SEC section for a sticky..
The NAC has a sticky for intro's but it's not a requirement. You could always start a thread saying hello...
I believe theres also a sticky in the members section once you join.. i think.

Hello,
Due to the owners of the site trying to ruin this once great site, i will no longer be a mod or even a user here. They would rather have page views up (drama induced) then a good knowledgeable site. They are in it for the money basically which i guess i cant blame them for. But this just creates a huge headache for us mods, and its not worth it since its a volunteer job.
Its been fun

(PS: I am not the only mod to step down...)
