Default Stepping down from CF

Hello,

Due to the owners of the site trying to ruin this once great site, i will no longer be a mod or even a user here. They would rather have page views up (drama induced) then a good knowledgeable site. They are in it for the money basically which i guess i cant blame them for. But this just creates a huge headache for us mods, and its not worth it since its a volunteer job.

Its been fun

-Wade

(PS: I am not the only mod to step down...)

Aww.. There's drama with CF? I don't like any of the other Cherokee/Jeep forums, and I actually like the name "Cherokee Forum", so I don't want to have to go somewhere else.. Why can't they come up with a compromise or something?

Pleasure working with you sir and the others who have stepped down. CF is surely losing some of its best to this crap.

I've seen several websites go down because of crud like this. It's sad to see it happen to this great site.

Thanks for your services Eliminator! Same goes to all the other mods who stepped down.

I hear what you're saying 89. Same reason I spend less and less time on here. Hate to see you go completely though.

I am curious if this is a big shake up. Once I learned this site is NOT owned by Jeep owners and it is part of a large company that....well, bettet stop there, probably ban me for relaying the truth, but is far from flattering.

Bottomline....this site makes thousands and thousands of dollars of the users, without any interest in the community. That has been left to the many mods and admins. I think they are also unpaid. The statement about no interest in keeping the site clean versus page views coincides with my opinion it is all about page views. Why do you think there are millions of threads about the same topic yet mods mostly don't clean it up.

And forums in general are losing out big time to facebook and Google Plus. I bet revenue and page views are dropping more and more each month, especially when assessed year over year.

.
Wow really? This has nothing to do with page views. If.we spent time merging all similar topics wed never do anything else. That is not what we are talking about with a clean site. Every forum has this issue with repetitive posts.
